I am so excited about this week’s podcast. I got to interview Ricardo Martinez, who is the director of current programming at ABC. Ricardo works on one of ABC’s new hit shows, Speechless.

If you haven’t seen it, Speechless is about a California family who has the same day to day struggles as everyone else, except their oldest son JJ, (played by Micah Fowler) has cerebral palsy and lives life from a wheelchair. JJ is non verbal and speaks through a board attached to his wheelchair, but also has an interpreter to help give him a voice. And JJ has a lot to say! Speechless is groundbreaking in its concept, but also hilarious in its execution. The critics are raving!

Listen in on this behind the scenes chat about the show’s conception and hilarious moments! If you love tv like I do, this is such a fun treat!

  • ABC’s Speechless airs on Wednesday night at 8:30/7:30 CST
