We make positive parenting accessible to everyone. Here's how.

Intro to Your Parenting Personality

Why do parts of parenting come so easily to you but not others? Why might you struggle with setting boundaries, getting your child to listen, or just deciphering where their needs end and yours begin? The key to unwrapping these challenges is identifying and understanding your parenting personality.

Special Time & Your Emotional Connection

Maintaining an emotional bond with your child is the hallmark of positive parenting. Learn to cultivate connection through small, manageable practices each day, while also investigating which will come naturally to your parenting personality and where you’ll likely have to borrow skills from others.

Independent Play

Do you find yourself hiding in the bathroom to sneak a parenting break? Is it difficult for your child to play without you for more than 10 minutes? Let’s address this by building independent play into your child’s day, borrowing strategies from each of the parenting personalities.

Boundaries & Listening

What’s the biggest key to developing your child’s listening skills? An awareness of where your own parenting personality shines and struggles when it comes to giving commands, enforcing boundaries, and leading with connection. Let's build your child's listening skills and your leadership skills.

Big Emotions

When your child is struggling with oversized emotions, how can you tap into the unique gifts of your parenting personality to calm the storm? Let's investigate what’s driving your child's feelings and behavior, how to respond in the moment, and ways to prevent future meltdowns from happening.

Natural & Logical Consequences

Once we realize punishments just don't work, we need other tools to help our child make good choices. Learn to lead your family through connection and cooperation (rather than threats, bribes, or punishments) while identifying the natural strengths and struggles of your parenting personality.

Building a Self-Care Practice

Did you know stress makes you vulnerable to "controlling parenting"? Yet self-care makes you more patient and empathetic, and it makes your parenting journey more fulfilling. Let’s dive into how your parenting personality affects your perspective on self-care to help you build a vital self-care practice.

Screen Time

Does screen time dominate your day? Is your child constantly asking to turn on a tablet? Let’s tap into your parenting personality to develop realistic strategies for screen time boundaries that keep kids healthy and prioritize your own time, convenience, and self-care.

What Event Hosts Say

I have been involved in the field of parenting education for over three decades. I have found two necessary components that are critical to best-practice and parent engagement. The first is teaching positive evidence-based strategies. The second is the discussion of lived experiences between the parent educators and the families they serve. Working with Evie and Sarah and watching them present and engage with families on parenting strategies, and the trials and triumphs of family life is like winning the parent educator jackpot!

As a parent educator and coordinator of parent education programming for the CHKD Health System, I see their solar-system parenting personality framework as an effective tool for engaging families in a fun and insightful journey of discovering their own strengths and challenges. Post-webinar evaluations have included comments about how relatable Evie and Sarah are, and how much participants value the topics and strategies that they offer.

In addition, participants often comment that they have a greater understanding of their parenting partner’s responses to everyday situations, and have used the framework to open up communication, without defensiveness.

In the short-term Evie and Sarah’s sessions are insightful and address common parenting challenges, offering potential ideas and solutions for immediate use. In the long-term Evie and Sarah’s unique framework provides a foundation of well-being for a family to build on through the years. With the guidance of Evie and Sarah and the resources they provide, a parent can develop their best parenting self and confidently raise emotionally intelligent children, who care about others and feel comfortable meeting their own needs in positive ways.
